Legends Global Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center is seeking a Security Control Specialist to oversee communications, dispatch personnel, and support emergency response during events. This full-time, non-exempt role covers security operations at a premier venue.

The position requires a HS diploma or GED, a valid CA BSIS Guard Card, and 2+ years in security dispatch or control rooms. Candidates should be calm under pressure and capable of long, irregular hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Licensing: Valid BSIS Guard Card (California or equivalent).
• Experience: 2+ years in security dispatch or control room operations.
• Technical: Proficient with radios, MS Office, visitor management, and surveillance tech.
• Communication: strong written and verbal skills; multi-channel communication.
• Availability: able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and large events.

Responsabilités

• Monitor emergency lines and surveillance feeds to detect incidents.
• Dispatch security personnel based on incident type and proximity.
• Coordinate with police, fire, and medical services as needed.
• Maintain logs of calls, dispatches, and security responses.
• Operate Employee Entrance procedures and PA system for alerts.
• Support fire alarms, evacuations, and incident communications.
• Serve as backup for Security Control during breaks and peak events.
