Job summary

Encore seeks an intermediate-level power distribution technician to set up and operate power distribution systems in a hotel environment, ensuring guests are satisfied and equipment runs smoothly. You will supervise a team, provide guidance, direction, and assistance, and coordinate with hotel staff and clients on site.

The role emphasizes power distribution planning, estimating, and design, along with safety compliance under OSHA, NFPA 70E, and NEC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of customer service or hospitality experience preferred.
• 3+ years of power distribution experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required for team members operating company vehicles.
• Ability to obtain ESTA PDT certification within first 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and break down intermediate power distribution equipment.
• Inspect and maintain power distribution equipment and cabling.
• Provide excellent service and maintain client relationships on site.
• Meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works.
• Coordinate show load-in/load-out plans for trade shows and productions.
• Set and strike electrical power for sessions, labs, and events.
• Troubleshoot power concerns and assist electricians when needed.
• Understand and foster hotel/client relationships; communicate with the team.
• Cross-train team members for AV setups/strikes when necessary.
