Job summary

Oak View Group is seeking a Line Cook to prepare high-quality foods for guests across our Philadelphia venues. The role involves direct guest contact in buffet lines and on-order stations, precise portioning, and maintaining clean, safe kitchen areas.

The position requires prior cook experience, ability to operate standard kitchen equipment, and strong teamwork. Hours are hourly with part-time benefits, including 401(k) options, and must be able to work events as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous cook or prep cook experience is highly preferred.
• Operate standard kitchen equipment listed above.
• Communicate clearly with staff and guests to maintain a positive work environment.
• Work well in a fast-paced, event-driven setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, fresh food for guests in a timely manner.
• Prepare hot and cold foods following recipes and portioning requirements.
• Participate as a team player with responsibilities related to preparation, service, and delivery.
• Report maintenance needs for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.
• Observe and test foods to ensure proper cooking.
• Portion, arrange, and garnish plates for delivery to guests.
• Consult with Executive/Sous Chef to plan menus and estimate food consumption.
• Demonstrate attendance standards and reliability.
