Job summary

Oak View Group, based in Kingston, RI, is seeking an Operations Conversions Manager to plan, coordinate, and execute event changeovers and facility setups for a premier venue. The role requires supervising part‑time staff, coordinating equipment, and ensuring safety and deadlines across diverse events, including evenings and holidays.

The position supports snow removal, general operations, and acts as Manager on Duty for assigned events. Salary ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 annually.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in facility operations management.
• Bachelor’s or technical degree required.
• Experience with overnight changeovers and operations preferred.
• Experience in arena, convention center, or public assembly facility preferable.
• Strong supervision and budgeting awareness; OSHA familiarity useful.
• Proficient with MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Manage all event changeovers, setup/teardown of equipment and seating.
• Oversee post‑event cleanup and staff supervision for setups.
• Develop operating procedures for changeovers and cleaning.
• Create preventive maintenance plans for seating and equipment.
• Oversee safety programs per OSHA and local regs.
• Schedule part‑time staff and coordinate with vendors and contractors.
• Assist in budget prep and monitor expenses; manage payroll for staff.
• Act as Manager on Duty for assigned events and snow tasks as needed.
