The Queen in downtown Wilmington, DE is seeking a hands-on General Manager to lead daily operations for a premier live entertainment venue. You will oversee staff, programming, guest experience, and safety while partnering with booking, production, and community stakeholders.

You will drive revenue through strategic planning, budgeting, and exceptional service, ensuring top-quality food, beverage, and events while cultivating a collaborative, guest‑focused workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in operations in hospitality, venue, or entertainment.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage service, live events, and guest standards.
• Ability to lead, train, and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting and cost control.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement vision and growth strategies for the Venue with measurable milestones.
• Oversee business, capital, and HR strategies and communicate them to leadership.
• Improve financial performance, guest and employee satisfaction.
• Maximize guest service and ensure safety and compliance across operations.
• Coordinate VIP/artist logistics and provide excellent artist experiences.
• Maintain visibility with ownership and foster transparent dialogue.
• Develop and monitor budgets, sales plans, and labor controls.
• Manage day-to-day operations and staff scheduling.
• Partner with booking and talent teams to guide artist decisions.
• Coach and develop staff; conduct performance reviews and trainings.
• Drive revenue through innovative strategies and event sales.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety policies are followed.
• Maintain open culture and address conflicts promptly.
