Job summary

Versant Media seeks a Production Support Engineer to join the Production Media Engineering group. You will support on-air productions across Englewood Cliffs, NJ, NY locations and remote sites, ensuring seamless operation of broadcast systems.

Requirements include 2 years in live production support, on-call duties, and strong SDI/2110 knowledge. You will troubleshoot, document issues, and collaborate with Operations to minimize disruptions.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent experience supporting live television production.
• On-call engineer addressing studio and operations requests.
• Analyses and troubleshoots SDI/IP 2110 workflows.
• Knowledge of HDSDI, AES, MADI, AES67, Ravenna, Dante.
• Maintain broadcast systems and workflows for live/taped programming.
• Familiar with virtualization: VMs, Containers, Orchestration.
• Understand master control, compression, uplink systems.
• Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Support on-air productions to ensure minimal show disruptions.
• Address technical support requests from control rooms and ops.
• Document issues and resolutions; escalate when needed.
• Collaborate with teams; work solo as lead or part of a team.
• Maintain and update broadcast tech, signals, and networks.
