Job summary

Versant Media, based in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, seeks a Manager of Production & Technical Operations to lead live productions and oversee studio and control-room staffing and readiness. You will coordinate with Editorial, Engineering, Broadcast Ops, NOC/MOC, Facilities, and other teams to ensure air-ready productions.

Responsibilities include staffing, real-time decisions, and staff development in a fast-paced broadcast environment; strong leadership and collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in live television studio, control room, or production operations, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of live television workflows and production roles.
• Ability to make timely decisions under high pressure with multiple priorities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Willingness to work on-site in Englewood Cliffs, NJ with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead live production operations across studios and control rooms to ensure staffing, preparation, and execution meet standards.
• Drive operational readiness by anticipating staffing and technical needs for daily programming and events.
• Manage staff and freelance production personnel; coordinate crew assignments and coverage.
• Act as operational decision-maker during broadcasts to resolve issues quickly and minimize disruption.
• Coach and develop Production Operations staff and optimize workflows and documentation.
