Job summary

Clorox is seeking a Scientist II - Litter Product Development to lead technical development for litter innovation, cost savings, and material qualification across AMEA. The role focuses on consumer and cat needs, translating insights into robust technical solutions.

This role leads development, scale-up, commercialization, and ongoing product performance with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners, with emphasis on Pleasanton, CA and hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/science/engineering field.
• Minimum of three years in product/process development, preferably consumer products.
• Experience leading multiple technical projects with cross-functional partners.
• Experience with experimental design, data analysis, risk assessment, scale-up, commercialization.
• Willingness to travel to Clorox sites, suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead litter product and process development from concept to commercialization.
• Design and execute experiments, performance tests, and qualification programs; analyze data and mitigate risks.
• Translate consumer, cat, customer, and business needs into technical requirements and specs.
• Act as Innovation SPOC for AMEA Litter; coordinate activity across teams and partners.
• Lead tech transfer, scale-up, plant trials, start-up, and implementation with manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate across R&D, Marketing, Insights, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Regulatory, Packaging, suppliers, and external manufacturers.
• Maintain timely technical documentation, specs, test methods, risk assessments, and project records.
