Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Paralegal to support USAO litigation efforts. The role involves preparing and filing documents, organizing case files, and assisting in discovery, depositions, and trial prep.

You’ll handle privilege reviews, witness interactions, and courtroom support while leveraging LEXIS/Westlaw and eDiscovery tools. The position emphasizes strong communication, legal research skills, and the ability to work under pressure, with tuition reimbursements for Relativity, ACEDS,

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
• One year of legal training or legal experience or at least two years of college education may be substituted for the paralegal certificate.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience is required; trial experience very helpful.
• Automated litigation support experience valued.
• Must have basic legal knowledge, including knowledge of standard legal citation to cite check legal motions and memorandum and must have sufficient experience with legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw.
• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills, thorough knowledge and hands-on familiarity with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, imaging and hardware systems; basic familiarity with ESI tools and eDiscovery.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of Supervisory Paralegal or Project Supervisor.
• Compiles, prepares, and summarizes relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery and in preparation of motions, briefs and other legal documents.
• Summarizes depositions and other transcripts; maintains case files; performs simple legal research.
• Indexes, tracks and controls document discovery; indexes, tracks and exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial.
• Prepares exhibit cross-references.
• Assists attorneys in courtroom.
• Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria.
• Other examples include compilation of documents for FOIA, production requests, Congressional inquiries, etc.
