Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Paralegal (USAO) to support USAO attorneys in the Criminal and Civil Units.

Responsibilities include preparing documents, organizing case materials, conducting legal research, and assisting with witness interviews, depositions, and trial preparation. The role involves travel up to 25% locally, with opportunities to advance through tuition reimbursement for Relativity certifications, ACEDS, and Paralegal Certificates.

Qualifications

Requires paralegal certificate, JD, or currently attending an ABA‑accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study.
One year of legal training or legal experience or at least two years of college education may be substituted for the paralegal certificate.
At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience; trial experience helpful.
Knowledge of legal research tools such as Lexis and Westlaw for basic legal research; familiarity with eDiscovery procedures.
US Citizenship required; DOJ MBI clearance must be obtainable.

Responsibilities

Prepares legal documents using templates, such as motions, memoranda, subpoenas, correspondence, discovery documents.
Performs routine document center support functions and filing tasks.
Provides trial preparation assistance to AUSAs by compiling notebooks and drafting lists.
Opens and closes case files and maintains case material for disposition or storage.
Maintains calendars for active cases and AUSAs and coordinates court appearances.
