Qualifications

  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures and federal filing requirements
  • Hands-on e-discovery, document management and litigation tech experience
  • Proven proofreading, editing and deadline-management skills
  • Proactive, collaborative professional with strong judgment and discretion

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive litigation support through all phases of active matters
  • Manage case files, deadlines, calendars, court dates, meetings and related information
  • Prepare, format, proofread and finalize pleadings, motions, briefs and discovery materials
  • Coordinate filing and service of legal documents in compliance with rules and deadlines
  • Support discovery and document management processes including review and production
  • Assist with deposition, hearing, mediation and trial preparation with exhibits and witness materials
  • Conduct factual research and assist attorneys with litigation-related research
  • Coordinate with attorneys and team to ensure progress of matters
  • Independently manage multiple priorities with high accuracy and attention to detail

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Litigation Paralegal on behalf of a highly respected and established law firm. This is a confidential opportunity to join a sophisticated legal team supporting complex and high-stakes litigation matters. This role offers a hybrid work environment with a combination of regular in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Our client is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide comprehensive support to attorneys and legal teams throughout all stages of litigation. This individual will play a key role in case management, document preparation, discovery coordination, court filings, deadline management, and hearing and trial preparation.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, highly organized litigation professional who can independently manage complex assignments, exercise sound judgment, and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide comprehensive litigation support throughout all phases of active matters
  • Manage case files, deadlines, calendars, court dates, meetings, and other critical case-related information
  • Prepare, format, proofread, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, discovery materials, and other legal documents
  • Coordinate the filing and service of legal documents while ensuring compliance with applicable rules, procedures, and deadlines
  • Support discovery and document management processes, including the organization, review, and production of case materials
  • Assist with deposition, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation, including the preparation and organization of exhibits, witness materials, and other supporting documents
  • Conduct factual research and assist attorneys with litigation-related research projects
  • Coordinate with attorneys and internal team members to ensure matters and assignments progress efficiently
  • Independently manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years of litigation paralegal experience, ideally supporting complex, high-volume litigation matters
  • Strong understanding of litigation procedures, federal court filing requirements, document preparation, and Bluebook citation standards
  • Hands-on experience with e-discovery, document management, and litigation technology; proficiency with Microsoft Word and Adobe required, with experience using platforms such as NetDocuments, Tabs3, Everlaw, and Westlaw highly valued
  • Exceptional proofreading, editing, organizational, and deadline-management skills with the ability to independently manage multiple sophisticated assignments
  • Proactive, resourceful, and collaborative professional with strong judgment, discretion, communication skills, and the flexibility to support extended hours when required by case demands
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers an annual salary range of $85,000-$150,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the role. The position follows a hybrid schedule of four days in office and one day remote, with standard office hours of Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
