Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in New Haven, CT seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys before, during, and after trials. You will prepare legal documents, file pleadings, and coordinate discovery and depositions to help push cases forward.

This on-site role requires 2+ years of litigation experience, knowledge of court rules, strong writing and communication skills, and proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. We offer competitive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of litigation experience required.
• Associate degree or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or related areas preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in calendaring depositions, mediations, and hearings.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; typing ≥35 wpm.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pleadings, motions, affidavits, and other legal documents.
• E-file court documents in state and federal courts.
• Communicate with clients, court, counsel, and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories, and responses.
• Coordinate depositions and trial binders.
• Assist with case settlements and witness preparation.
• Liaise between trial teams and third parties.
