Job summary

Morgan & Morgan, P.A. is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys before, during, and after trials. The role involves preparing pleadings, e-filed court documents, coordinating depositions, and aiding with settlements.

You will work closely with trial teams and handle discovery, trials, and case management in a fast-paced environment. This on-site position offers opportunities across personal injury and related practice areas.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, certificate, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
• 2+ years of litigation experience (preferred).
• Completion of a nationally accredited paralegal program (preferred).
• Experience in Personal Injury, WC, Premises, or related practice areas (preferred).
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage workload with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, scheduling depositions, mediations and hearings.
• Knowledge of motions, discovery, evidence, and court rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits and complaints.
• E-file all court documents in state and federal court.
• Communicate with clients, court, counsel and others.
• Conduct legal research and factual investigation.
• Prepare discovery documents, interrogatories and responses.
• Draft and serve summons and coordinate depositions.
• Prepare trial binders and exhibits.
• Draft appellate documents and file with court.
• Perform administrative duties: calendar hearings and deadlines, organize case files.
• Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes, organize exhibits and evidence.
• Aid attorneys with discovery requests and witness preparation.
• Assist with case settlements and other tasks as needed.
