Jacobs & Comerota is seeking a Litigation Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support two litigation attorneys in a busy plaintiff-side personal injury practice in Center City Philadelphia. The role combines substantive paralegal work with routine legal assistant duties to keep cases organized and progressing.

Responsibilities include drafting pleadings and motions, managing court deadlines, scheduling depositions, and maintaining file materials.

Qualifications

• At least two years of civil litigation experience is required.
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable communicating directly with clients.
• Strong organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, motions, and other litigation documents.
• Filing documents through applicable electronic court systems
• Monitoring court deadlines and maintaining attorney calendars
• Scheduling depositions, medical examinations, arbitrations, hearings, and client meetings
• Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and medical providers
• Organizing medical records, exhibits, discovery materials, and litigation files
• Preparing files for depositions, arbitrations, settlement conferences, and trial
• Assisting attorneys with all phases of personal injury litigation
• Performing traditional legal assistant duties, including correspondence, scheduling, document management, and administrative support

Jacobs & Comerota, a busy plaintiff-side personal injury law firm in Center City Philadelphia, is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant to support two litigation attorneys.

This is a hybrid role in terms of responsibilities. The successful candidate will perform substantive paralegal work while also handling the day-to-day legal assistant and administrative responsibilities necessary to keep the attorneys’ cases organized and moving forward. Applicants must be comfortable performing both aspects of the position.

• Drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, correspondence, motions, and other litigation documents
• Filing documents through applicable electronic court systems
• Monitoring court deadlines and maintaining attorney calendars
• Scheduling depositions, medical examinations, arbitrations, hearings, and client meetings
