Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Paralegal (Legal Assistant I) to support the Department of Justice’s mission in a fast-paced litigation environment in Washington, DC. The role focuses on discovery, trial preparation, and document management with eDiscovery tools.

You will assist prosecutors, prepare summaries, manage case files, and support witnesses and deposition prep as needed. Applicants should have a paralegal certificate or a four-year degree, plus relevant litigation experience and strong

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or four-year college degree required.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or related project experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; proficiency with MS Office and document management systems.
• Experience with eDiscovery/ESI tools preferred.
• US Citizenship required for DOJ role.

Responsibilities

• Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Summarize depositions and transcripts; maintain case files and perform basic legal research.
• Index, track, and control document discovery and exhibits for depositions and trials.
• Assist attorneys in court and during witness interviews; support deposition and trial preparation.
• Review documents for relevance and privilege per guidelines; compile materials for FOIA, production requests, etc.
