Job summary

CACI International Inc is seeking a Senior Paralegal to support the Department of Justice in Washington, DC. The role focuses on litigation support for upcoming trials, including witness interviews, deposition prep, and in-courtroom support.

Responsibilities include drafting subpoenas and discovery documents, managing case materials, and ensuring deadlines are met, with a strong emphasis on eDiscovery and collaboration with federal prosecutors.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
• At least 2 years of litigation paralegal experience, including 1 year in automated litigation support.
• Excellent written and oral communications with knowledge of federal/state courts and legal research.
• Thorough knowledge of Lexis and Westlaw.

Responsibilities

• Prepare subpoenas, notices of deposition, interrogatories, document requests, garnishments, and writs for AUSA review.
• Review and inventory documents produced under subpoenas or discovery requests.
• Use research tools and databases to research financial backgrounds of debtors and cases.
• Prepare discovery-related documents per Federal Rules of Evidence/Procedures with practical litigative experience.
• Provide litigative case management and organize discovery and exhibits.
• Maintain contact with federal agencies for compliance with directives.
• Monitor case progress and ensure documents are prepared and submitted on time.
• Compile and index discovery/evidence exhibits and witness testimony.
• Perform administrative duties supporting the Unit.
• Utilize established databases for data searches, report design, and data retrieval.
