Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Paralegal (Legal Assistant I) to support the Department of Justice's Health Care Fraud Unit, handling litigation support, discovery, deposition prep, and in-courtroom assistance in a fast-paced environment.

You'll gain hands-on experience with eDiscovery tools and Relativity, work under supervision, and contribute to case management while maintaining thorough documentation and adherence to procedures.

Qualifications

• Requires paralegal certificate, or a four-year college degree.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to health care, project or document management, policy, research, government staffing, publishing; or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of MS Office and document management systems.
• Familiar with electronically stored information (ESI) tools and eDiscovery procedures.
• US Citizenship required; DOJ MBI is obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Compiles, prepares, and summarizes materials for discovery, motions, briefs and other legal documents.
• Summarizes depositions and transcripts; maintains case files and performs simple legal research.
• Indexes, tracks and controls document discovery and exhibits for depositions and trial.
• Prepares exhibit cross-references and assists attorneys in the courtroom.
• Reviews documents for relevance and privilege according to guidelines.
