Job summary

CACI International is seeking a Paralegal (Legal Assistant I) to support the Department of Justice’s mission in a fast-paced environment. The role emphasizes litigation support, deposition preparation, and courtroom assistance within the Health Care Fraud Unit.

The position offers exposure to automated litigation support tools and eDiscovery resources, with opportunities for Relativity certification and related credentials. DOJ MBI clearance will be pursued as required.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or a four-year college degree.
• At least one year of litigation paralegal experience or project experience related to health care, project or document management.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; thorough knowledge of MS Office and databases.
• Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint proficiency.
• Understanding of electronically stored information (ESI) and ability to manage digital files.
• Coding skills welcome but not required.
• Ability to deliver high-quality work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Compile, prepare, and summarize materials for discovery, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Summarize depositions and transcripts; maintain case files.
• Perform simple legal research.
• Index, track, and control discovery documents and exhibits for depositions and trials.
• Assist attorneys in courtroom and review documents for relevance and privilege.
