Job summary

Dinsmore & Shohl LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys in our Litigation practice group. While the location preference is Pittsburgh, PA, we will consider qualified applicants at other office locations.

Responsibilities include reviewing medical records, preparing depositions, drafting motions and discovery, and maintaining case chronologies. Candidates should have 5+ years in business litigation, a degree or paralegal certification, and strong organization and communication

Qualifications

• Five+ years' experience in business litigation.
• College degree, ABA-approved paralegal certificate, or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge and experience with discovery.
• Knowledge accessing and reviewing court dockets.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Be highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Pre-trial and trial experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and summarize medical records and deposition transcripts.
• Prepare notices of depositions and deposition exhibits.
• Communicate with experts and clients.
• Create and maintain case chronologies.
• Draft discovery requests and discovery responses.
• Assist in the draft of motions, responses, replies, and exhibits.
• Review and organize documents for production and redactions.
• Organize and manage document productions.
• Maintain internal active case lists with deadlines.
• Assist in case law research; draft client update reports.
• Collaborate with Project Assistants, Clerks, and staff.
• Ability to multi-task, carry a large caseload, and work overtime.
