Job summary

Beacon Hill seeks an experienced Litigation Paralegal in Chicago to support attorneys through all phases of complex business disputes, from inception to trial. The role demands exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

You will draft pleadings, handle discovery, conduct legal research, manage case materials, and coordinate depositions and trial preparation, collaborating with clients and outside parties to ensure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Commercial litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Experience filing documents in both state and federal courts.
• Knowledge of electronic filing systems and court procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with document management, case management, and e-discovery platforms.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, prepare, and revise pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other legal documents.
• Assist with all phases of written discovery and related responses.
• Conduct legal and factual research and prepare summaries for attorneys.
• Gather, analyze, organize, and summarize records and supporting materials.
• Prepare and file documents in state and federal courts using electronic filing systems.
• Monitor court dockets and deadlines; maintain litigation calendars.
• Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, and other litigation events.
• Support attorneys with hearing and trial preparation, exhibit lists, and trial materials.
