Qualifications

• 2+ years of legal assistant or paralegal experience in Florida.
• Familiarity with Florida state and federal court procedures.
• Experience with court e-filing systems.
• Strong knowledge of legal terminology and litigation processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize and work independently.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage attorney calendars and litigation deadlines.
• Calendar state and federal court deadlines.
• Prepare basic notices, filings and correspondence.
• Proofread motions, pleadings, discovery, correspondence and other legal documents.
• Prepare and submit state and federal court e-filings.
• Coordinate hearings, depositions, mediations and meetings.
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel and outside vendors.
• Coordinate with court reporters, process servers and e-discovery providers.
• Conduct basic legal and internet research.
• Pull and organize case law using Westlaw.
• Maintain accurate physical and electronic case files.
• Assist attorneys with case preparation and administrative needs.
• Handle confidential and sensitive client information with discretion.
• Manage multiple priorities while meeting critical deadlines.
