Base pay range

$70,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr

Litigation Paralegal - New York City - Hybrid

Litigation boutique law firm has an immediate opening for a litigation paralegal to work on a broad range of commercial litigation matters. The paralegal will support Senior Paralegal throughout all phases of litigation, including initiating suit; discovery (including eDiscovery); preparing court submissions; trial; and post-trial and appellate procedures.

The candidate would need to be able to:

• Oversee the production and maintenance of litigation documents and evidentiary materials, organizing documents and assisting counsel to prepare for depositions, hearings, trials or other courtroom proceedings.
• Handle court filings in compliance with court rules and procedures.
• Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy files for assigned cases.
• Maintain a docket for each pending matter before a court, arbitration panel or governmental agency, as requested by attorneys.
• Assist with the preparation of court filings.

Qualifications

• Civil litigation experience.
• Knowledge of New York local and state court rules, procedures, and practices. Federal Court filings experience is a plus.
• Knowledge and familiarity with e-filing on PACER and NYS e-filing system.
• Experience with calendaring or docketing systems.
• Strong understanding of the e-Discovery process, including manipulating and running database software.
• Flexibility to work overtime when necessary.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience; Paralegal certificate preferred.
• Hybrid schedule, salary range: $70k-$80k.
