Job Description

Represent the company and insured clients by managing no-fault, bodily injury, and property damage lawsuits. Engage in trials, arbitrations, mediations, and provide legal counsel to business clients. Stay updated on laws and regulations to ensure compliance and strategic advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage insurance defense litigation from start to verdict, including case assessment, discovery, depositions, and courtroom advocacy.
• Conduct AAA no-fault arbitrations, mediations, and trials, preparing witnesses and clients.
• Perform Special Investigation Unit (SIU) Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) and prepare detailed reports.
• Review new cases, analyze evidence, develop strategies, and draft legal documents.
• Communicate regularly with claim partners regarding case progress and strategies.
• Monitor legal changes to adapt strategies accordingly.

Education & Minimum Requirements

• Juris Doctorate and active membership in the New York State Bar.
• Courses in legal research, writing, and analysis.
• Strong time management, organizational skills, and understanding of discovery and legal ethics.
• Negotiation skills and ability to manage client interactions.
• Must be within commuting distance to NYC courthouses.
