We are seeking an experienced Litigation/Trial Paralegal to support attorneys through all phases of litigation, with a strong emphasis on trial preparation and courtroom support. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, thrives under pressure, and has hands-on experience supporting trials from inception through verdict.
Responsibilities of Our Litigation/Trial Paralegal
- Schedules appointments and meetings for attorneys
- Manages and maintains calendar for deadlines; ensures important dates are recorded on the master calendar.
- Manages and assists attorneys with document production; prepares and reviews case files.
- Assist attorneys with all aspects of trial preparation and courtroom proceedings
- Prepare, organize, and manage trial binders, exhibits, demonstratives, and witness files
- Coordinate and prepare subpoenas, trial witnesses, and expert witnesses
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and trial-related documents
- Manage and review discovery, including document production and exhibit lists
- Coordinate logistics for trials, hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Maintain case calendars, deadlines, and trial schedules
- Conduct legal and factual research as needed
- Provide in-court support during trial, including exhibit management and technology support
- Proofreads prepared materials to ensure documents are free from typographical and grammatical errors and formatted according to Firm standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Preferred/Required Qualifications of Our Litigation/Trial Paralegal
- Associate’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification
- 5+ years of heavy litigation experience is required.
- Strong understanding of litigation & mass tort terms.
- Case management skills including a strong aptitude for managing and prioritizing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Ability to manage and meet competing deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
- Deadline and detail oriented
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; must be able to maintain a high case volume.
- Multi-state federal litigation is a plus.
