Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Paralegal to support attorneys through all stages of the litigation lifecycle. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys on complex matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform asset searches to assess collectability
- Utilize investigative databases (e.g., TLO) to locate individuals for service of process
Document Drafting & Management
- Assist with preparing affidavits, witness and exhibit lists, and stipulations
- Organize and prepare documents for production, including Bates labeling, redactions, and privilege logs
- Coordinate document collection from clients and third parties, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Deposition & Trial Support
- Summarize deposition transcripts and manage supporting exhibits
- Prepare binders and materials for depositions, hearings, and trials
- Assist with demonstratives, spreadsheets, and trial presentations
- Tag testimony and exhibits within document review platforms
Exhibits & Evidence
- Locate, label, and organize exhibits for hearings and trial
- Create electronic and hyperlinked exhibit binders
- Upload and manage exhibits using trial presentation software (e.g., Trial Director or similar)
Discovery & Review
- Track and organize discovery requests and responses
- Review productions from opposing parties to ensure completeness
- Maintain and update lists of relevant and privileged search terms
Information Tracking
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets tracking parties, entities, dates, issues, and key events
- Assist in organizing case data and litigation timelines
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Litigation Paralegal or Legal Assistant preferred
- Familiarity with legal research tools, document management systems, and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience
- Exposure to electronic discovery and document production
- Knowledge of court procedures and filing requirements (including complex business litigation rules)
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a legal team
