Job summary

Brown White & Osborn LLP in Boston, MA is seeking two experienced Litigation Paralegals to join its team. This role offers a hybrid schedule with three days in office and two days remote, supporting both local and national litigation matters from discovery through trial.

The successful candidates will manage case files, assist with pleadings and depositions, maintain billable-hour records, and collaborate closely with attorneys to handle complex civil matters for major corporations and brands.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of defense litigation paralegal experience.
• Significant experience supporting complex civil litigation matters.
• Experience with general liability, product liability, toxic tort, environmental liability, or other complex defense litigation.
• Strong knowledge of the litigation lifecycle, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Experience managing multiple cases and competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and other legal professionals.
• Excellent organizational and case-management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze complex case materials.
• Comfortable working in a billable-hour environment.
• Ability to meet an annual 1,500-hour billable requirement.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage litigation matters and maintain organized case files
• Support local and national litigation accounts throughout Massachusetts
• Assist attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
• Review, analyze, prepare, and respond to discovery requests
• Draft and assist with pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other litigation documents
• Coordinate and assist with depositions
• Prepare witnesses and materials for depositions and trial
• Organize and analyze medical records, case documents, discovery materials, and other evidence
• Assist with trial preparation and provide trial support as needed
• Coordinate with attorneys, clients, experts, witnesses, and outside vendors
• Manage deadlines, court filings, and case calendars
• Maintain accurate and timely billable-hour records
