Responsibilities

• Partner closely with attorneys to keep cases moving forward.
• Maintain accurate case information and status updates in the firm's case management system.
• Communicate with clients and assist with obtaining outstanding medical records and bills.
• Prepare medical treatment and billing summaries.
• Communicate with witnesses and obtain statements.
• Draft Complaints and outgoing discovery requests.
• E-file Complaints, discovery motions, and other legal documents.
• Work directly with clients to assist with discovery responses.
• Manage attorney calendars and coordinate depositions and other litigation events.
• Review and summarize large volumes of discovery.
• Prepare statutory certifications of medical records for trial.
• Prepare settlement releases and settlement accountings.
• Follow established procedures and attorney direction while taking ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Work collaboratively with attorneys and colleagues while maintaining professionalism, respect, and integrity.

A well-respected Springfield area law firm is looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join its team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and enjoys being an integral part of the litigation process.

You'll work directly with experienced attorneys, supporting cases from the early stages of litigation through settlement and trial preparation. The role offers a good mix of client interaction, case management, legal drafting, discovery, and trial support, so no two days are exactly alike.

What You'll Do
