Qualifications

• 3+ years of legal assistant experience supporting civil defense litigators in a high-volume firm.
• IL and Federal Court filing including E-Filing experience required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong critical thinking, communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• File and circulate pleadings in state and federal court.
• Maintain attorney docketing and calculate court deadlines.
• Support attorneys with processing invoices, scheduling depositions, and client guidelines.
• Open new files by collecting preliminary documents and information from clients.
• Coordinate travel, meetings, and manage attorney schedules under direction.
