This position will support a busy litigation practice with a strong emphasis on insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation legal assistant experience, including experience supporting attorneys in insurance defense cases.
Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of litigation
Prepare, draft, revise, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, and correspondence
Coordinate and manage attorney calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and trial schedules
Assist with discovery, document production, and case management
Maintain electronic and physical case files
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, experts, and vendors
Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and other materials for hearings and trial preparation
Monitor deadlines and ensure compliance with court rules and procedures
Minimum of 2 years of litigation legal assistant experience
Insurance defense experience is required
Strong knowledge of Florida state court filing procedures
Experience managing multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
