This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional who thrives in a fast-paced litigation environment and enjoys taking ownership of cases from inception through trial.
The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of litigation experience, with a strong background supporting insurance defense matters.
Manage a caseload of insurance defense files through all phases of litigation
Draft and prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, notices, and other legal documents
Coordinate depositions, mediations, hearings, inspections, and expert meetings
Review, organize, and summarize medical records, claim files, and other case-related documents
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, exhibit management, and witness coordination
Track court deadlines and ensure compliance with Florida procedural rules
Conduct factual investigations and legal research as needed
Maintain communication with clients, insurance carriers, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel
2+ years of litigation paralegal experience
Insurance defense experience required
Strong understanding of Florida state court procedures and deadlines
Experience with discovery, medical records review, and trial preparation
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software
