Diaz | Anselmo Attorneys at Law seeks a motivated Law Clerk to support its Litigation Department in Florida. This role offers substantive, hands-on experience in civil litigation across creditors’ rights, real estate, foreclosure, consumer finance, and appellate matters.

The clerk will work closely with litigation attorneys on draft pleadings, discovery, and case research, while developing practical skills and professional demeanor in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Be currently enrolled and in good standing at an ABA‑accredited law school.
• Strong interest in litigation and developing practical litigation skills.
• General understanding of property law and contracts.
• Possess strong legal research, analytical, and writing abilities.
• Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.
• Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
• Comfortable working both independently and with attorneys and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandum of law.
• Assist with drafting motions, responses, memoranda of law, and other pleadings.
• Review complaints, answers, affirmative defenses, discovery, and other court filings.
• Assist with written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Review and organize documents, loan records, discovery materials, and evidence.
• Research Florida statutes, rules of procedure, and state and federal case law.
• Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Review court dockets and monitor litigation developments.
• Assist with appellate research and briefing as opportunities arise.
• Support the Litigation Department with other substantive legal projects.
