Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare memorandum of law.
• Assist with drafting motions, responses, memoranda of law, and other pleadings.
• Review complaints, answers, affirmative defenses, discovery, and other court filings.
• Assist with written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admissions.
• Review and organize documents, loan records, discovery materials, and evidence.
• Research Florida statutes, rules of procedure, and state and federal case law.
• Assist attorneys with preparation for hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials.
• Review court dockets and monitor litigation developments.
• Assist with appellate research and briefing as opportunities arise.
• Support the Litigation Department with other substantive legal projects.

The Law Clerk will work directly with litigation attorneys on a variety of matters involving creditors’ rights, real estate and foreclosure litigation, consumer finance litigation, commercial disputes, bankruptcy‑related litigation, and appellate matters.
