Job summary

Turo is seeking a Litigation Counsel to manage a high-volume slate of consumer disputes arising from its peer-to-peer car-sharing marketplace. You will arbitrate cases in remote online forums and work with outside counsel to compel arbitration on court matters, while assisting internal teams with regulatory inquiries.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of relevant litigation experience, a JD, and strong writing and negotiation skills, delivering practical legal advice in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 3+ years of relevant litigation experience.
• Ability to manage high-volume consumer disputes and provide practical legal advice.

Responsibilities

• Arbitrate cases in remote, online forums and prepare evidence.
• Evaluate pre-arbitration disputes and advise internal teams.
• Work with outside counsel to compel arbitration and respond to regulatory matters.
• Draft regulatory responses and respond to discovery.
• Advise the business on dispute escalations and litigation risk mitigation.
• Analyze risk and balance legal duty with business relationships.
