Qualifications

• Law degree and mastery of litigation, insurance law, and policy terms.
• 1-3 years trial or legal claims experience; 6-12 months on-the-job training.
• Ability to work with diverse groups including defense attorneys, adjusters, claimants, and management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct claims litigation activities and case strategy for designated Shelter states.
• Direct Managers and Supervisors in claims handling, investigation, and communication on complex, high-exposure branch claims.
• Supervise outside attorneys; train claims-handling activities in line with state law.
• Develop training materials and protocols for schools, eLearning, and branches.
