Job summary

Cooley LLP is seeking a Litigation Case Assistant in Chicago to support attorneys and paralegals throughout the litigation lifecycle, from filing through trial and appeals.

You will organize case materials, manage e-rooms, prepare documents for Bates-numbering and filing, and assist with deposition logistics, motions, and trial exhibits, while maintaining accurate records and calendars.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Excellent English and Chinese language skills.
• Availability to work overtime as needed.
• Experience with litigation databases or eDiscovery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain case materials and e-rooms.
• Prepare documents for Bates-numbering, redaction, and indexing.
• Assist with deposition logistics and witness files.
• Draft motions and briefs; assemble briefing books.
• Coordinate service of process and e-filing.
• Manage trial exhibits and attend trials as needed.
