Job summary

Orion Placement in Seattle is seeking a licensed attorney for an on-site litigation role focused on whistleblower, consumer protection, and class actions, with 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.

You will draft pleadings, manage discovery (including ESI), take depositions, support trial preparation, and work with senior attorneys from investigation to resolution.

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience; 2+ years in relevant areas preferred.
• Washington Bar membership or eligibility to practice in WA.
• Strong legal research, drafting, and persuasive writing skills.
• Experience with depositions, discovery, and courtroom proceedings.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex whistleblower, consumer protection, and class action litigation in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, electronic discovery (ESI), document review, and case investigations.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Participate in hearings, trial preparation, courtroom proceedings, and appeals.
• Develop litigation strategies and manage substantive aspects of cases from inception through resolution.
• Work closely with senior trial attorneys while building independence and courtroom experience.

Location

Seattle, WA. This is a fully on-site opportunity offering daily collaboration with an experienced litigation team. We are seeking locally based attorneys who can comfortably commute to our office.

Note

Candidates must be Washington-barred attorneys with 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in complex civil litigation. The ideal candidate has 3 to 7 years of experience, strong legal writing skills, and hands-on experience with depositions, discovery, and court proceedings. Candidates from in-house or solo practice backgrounds are welcome to apply if they have relevant litigation experience.

• Ability to manage multiple matters and collaborate effectively with attorneys and legal staff.
• Interest in plaintiffs' litigation, whistleblower matters, consumer protection, or class actions.
• Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus, not required.
