Job summary

Orion Placement in San Francisco offers a hybrid litigation associate opportunity requiring a JD and active California Bar membership. You will handle business, real estate, employment, and personal injury matters with senior attorney guidance, drafting motions and pleadings, and managing discovery and depositions.

You will collaborate with experienced attorneys on strategy, engage in negotiations, and prepare for trial while enjoying work-from-home flexibility and a clear path to growth.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage business, real estate, employment, and personal injury litigation matters with guidance from experienced attorneys.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, legal memoranda, and case strategy documents.
• Conduct legal research involving statutes, regulations, case law, and relevant secondary authorities.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trial-related proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other parties throughout the litigation process.
• Assist with settlement negotiations, mediation strategy, case evaluation, and trial preparation.
• Manage case deadlines, files, discovery, and litigation calendars while handling multiple active matters.
• Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop practical, results-focused litigation strategies.

Location:

San Francisco, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity, typically requiring three days per week in our San Francisco office with work-from-home flexibility on other days.

Note:

Candidates must have a JD, active California Bar membership, and 1+ years of law firm litigation experience, ideally at the associate level. We are specifically looking for an attorney motivated to work across employment, real estate, business, and personal injury matters. In-house and solo practice backgrounds are not the preferred fit for this opening.
