Orionplacement is seeking a civil litigation attorney for an on-site role in Walnut Creek, CA. You will manage civil litigation matters through multiple stages, develop strategy, and communicate with clients to advance matters toward successful resolutions.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of civil litigation experience, strong writing and research skills, and the ability to manage deadlines across matters.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license.
• 4+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Strong litigation writing, research, analytical, and case management skills.
• Experience handling discovery, motions, depositions, and litigation strategy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters, deadlines, and client priorities.
• Professional, responsive, organized, and comfortable taking ownership of cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil litigation matters through multiple stages of the litigation lifecycle.
• Develop case strategy, evaluate claims and defenses, and help drive matters toward successful resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct and defend depositions and participate in hearings, mediations, settlement negotiations, and other proceedings.
• Work directly with clients to understand objectives, provide strategic guidance, and communicate case developments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare clear, persuasive written analysis.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff while independently managing deadlines and priorities.
• Negotiate practical resolutions while remaining prepared to advocate aggressively when litigation requires it.
