Job summary

Orion Placement is seeking a California-barred attorney to lead complex whistleblower, consumer protection, and class action litigation in state and federal courts. The role offers a high-impact platform with mentorship and significant ownership from discovery to trial.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years of civil litigation experience, top-tier writing and research skills, and hands-on deposition, discovery, and court proceedings experience.

• Strong legal research, drafting, and persuasive writing skills; hands-on deposition and discovery experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex whistleblower, consumer protection, and class action litigation in state and federal courts.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Manage discovery, electronic discovery (ESI), document review, and case investigations.
• Take and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and collaborate with expert witnesses.
• Participate in hearings, trial preparation, courtroom proceedings, and appeals.
• Develop litigation strategies and manage substantive aspects of cases from inception through resolution.
• Work closely with senior trial attorneys while building independence and courtroom experience.

Location

Burlingame, CA (San Francisco Bay Area). This is a fully on-site opportunity offering daily collaboration with an experienced litigation team. We are seeking locally based attorneys who can comfortably commute to our office.

Note

Candidates must be California-barred attorneys with 3+ years of litigation experience, preferably in complex civil litigation. The ideal candidate has 3 to 7 years of experience, strong legal writing skills, and hands‑on experience with depositions, discovery, and court proceedings. Candidates from in‑house or solo practice backgrounds are welcome to apply if they have relevant litigation experience.

• Federal judicial clerkship experience is a plus, not required.
