We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our team on a permanent basis. This is a unique opportunity to work in a challenging and dynamic environment where your expertise will be valued and your contributions recognized. You will be part of a collaborative team of professionals committed to delivering top-tier legal services to our clients.

Responsibilities

As a Litigation Attorney, you will be responsible for handling all aspects of civil litigation and insurance defense matters. Your main responsibilities will include

• Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses.
• Conducting legal research and gathering evidence. Conducting depositions.
• Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Advising clients on their legal rights and responsibilities.
• Negotiating settlements in civil disputes.
• Managing all phases of litigation from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
• Developing strategies and negotiating insurance claims.
• Collaborating with a team of legal professionals to ensure the best defense for our clients.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Litigation Attorney position must meet the following qualifications

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance defense, civil litigation, and/or construction/labor law litigation.
• Admission to the NY state bar.
• Proven track record of managing caseload.
• Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to resolve complex issues.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
