Job summary

Confidential Employer in Southern California seeks a licensed attorney to manage a diverse civil and business litigation caseload from strategy through resolution. You will draft pleadings, briefs, discovery, dispositive motions, and take depositions.

You will collaborate with partners, conduct legal research, and communicate with clients and opposing counsel, with hybrid work and CA residency required.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license in good standing.
• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Hands-on experience taking depositions.
• Demonstrated experience drafting dispositive motions.
• Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.
• No prior disciplinary record.
• Must reside in California and work from Irvine office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil and business litigation matters from initial strategy through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, discovery, dispositive motions, and other substantive legal documents.
• Take depositions and participate in discovery strategy and case development.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical analysis on complex legal issues.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement discussions, and trial.
• Collaborate closely with partners and other attorneys on litigation strategy and client objectives.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain ownership of deadlines, case progress, and high-quality work product.

Pay: $150,000.00 - $210,000.00 per year

Location: Irvine, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity with meaningful in-office collaboration, particularly during the first few months. Once established, attorneys may work remotely several days per week. Candidates must reside in California.

Note: Candidates must be active members of the California Bar in good standing with no prior disciplinary record and have 3+ years of litigation experience, including personally taking depositions and drafting dispositive motions.

• Salary Bands (Only if attorney role): 3 to 5 years: $150,000 to $170,000;
• 6 to 8 years: $170,000 to $190,000;
• 9+ years: $190,000 to $210,000.
