Job summary

W3Global in Irvine, CA seeks an experienced Civil Litigator to join its litigation team. The attorney will manage matters from start to finish, develop strategy, draft filings, and advocate in court, mediations, and negotiations.

The ideal candidate has a J.D., CA Bar in good standing, and 5–8 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience, with strong research and writing abilities and client-relations skills.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and active CA State Bar membership.
• 5-8 years of civil litigation experience, including insurance defense.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills; ability to manage multiple matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop case strategy and provide legal analysis throughout all phases of litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, and memoranda.
• Conduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacy.
• Handle depositions, mediations, settlement negotiations, court appearances, and hearings.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient progression.
• Communicate with clients, insurers, opposing counsel, and experts regarding strategy.

Attorneys handle a broad spectrum of civil litigation matters, including premises liability, personal injury, general liability, business disputes, employment matters, professional liability claims, and estate-related litigation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the California State Bar in good standing.
• 5-8 years of experience in civil litigation or insurance defense.
• Strong knowledge of personal injury, premises liability, and general civil litigation.
• Excellent legal research, analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple litigation matters while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Exceptional organizational, communication, and client relationship management skills.
