Job summary

Confidential Employer in Irvine, CA seeks an experienced litigation attorney to manage a diverse civil and business caseload from strategy through resolution. You will draft pleadings, take depositions, and contribute to discovery and motion practice.

Hybrid work with in-office collaboration during the initial months; CA Bar in good standing with 3+ years of litigation experience required. You will communicate directly with clients and collaborate with partners to achieve client objectives.

Qualifications

• Active California Bar license required.
• 3+ years of litigation experience.
• Demonstrated experience drafting dispositive motions.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to independently manage litigation matters and deadlines.
• No prior disciplinary record.
• Must reside in California and be able to work from Irvine office as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload of civil and business litigation from strategy through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, briefs, discovery, dispositive motions, and other substantive legal documents.
• Take depositions and actively participate in discovery strategy and case development.
• Conduct legal research and provide clear, practical analysis on complex legal issues.
• Prepare for hearings, mediations, arbitrations, settlement discussions, and trial.
• Collaborate with partners and other attorneys on litigation strategy and client objectives.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain ownership of deadlines, case progress, and high-quality work product.

Location: Irvine, CA. This is a hybrid opportunity with meaningful in-office collaboration, particularly during the first few months. Once established, attorneys may work remotely several days per week. Candidates must reside in California.

Note: Candidates must be active members of the California Bar in good standing with no prior disciplinary record and have 3+ years of litigation experience, including personally taking depositions and drafting dispositive motions.
