Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced associate attorney for a national plaintiff litigation firm in Emeryville, CA. The role focuses on handling all stages of litigation, from filing through trial and appeal, with regular court appearances and robust legal research to support strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a Juris Doctorate and at least 5 years of litigation experience, including trial and personal injury, strong discovery drafting skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Licensed attorney in good standing with at least 5 years of litigation experience.
• Proven experience in trial, personal injury, and legal research.
• Proficient in drafting and responding to discovery requests.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to manage high-volume caseload and negotiate.

Responsibilities

• Handling all aspects of litigation, from initiation through trial and appeal.
• Representing clients in court and making regular court appearances.
• Conducting comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and stay updated on laws and regulations.
• Drafting, reviewing, and responding to discovery requests and other legal documents.
• Managing cases, including investigating claims, evaluating damages, and negotiating settlements.
• Collaborating with paralegals, legal assistants, and team members to ensure efficient case management.
• Providing exceptional client service with regular updates on case progress.

Responsibilities

• Handling all aspects of litigation, from initiation through trial and appeal.
