Job summary

Jobot in New York seeks a Litigation Associate to work closely with experienced attorneys across all phases of commercial litigation, including pleadings, motion practice, discovery, court appearances, depositions, and client interaction.

Required: J.D. from an accredited law school and NY licensed attorney, 1–5 years’ experience, strong legal research, writing, and negotiation skills. Salary ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 per year with listed benefits.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of commercial litigation matters, including factual investigations, legal research, drafting key court documents, depositions, and client communications.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.
• Conduct extensive legal research and prepare memoranda.
• Participate in court appearances, presenting arguments and evidence clearly and persuasively.
• Collaborate with a team of attorneys on high-profile and complex cases.
• Participate in settlement negotiations and mediations.
• Maintain client relationships and address legal concerns and needs.
• Contribute to business and client development activities.

• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, reports, and other legal documents.

• Exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of commercial law.
• Proven track record of managing complex litigation matters.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize multiple tasks.
• Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
• Experience in client and business development activities is a plus.
