Confidential Employer in Texas seeks an experienced associate to manage a diverse civil-defense docket, including personal injury and catastrophic loss matters. You will develop litigation strategies, draft pleadings, take depositions, and guide cases from evaluation through trial.

Hybrid work is offered after onboarding; Texas bar is required for Texas positions. 2+ years of civil litigation experience is preferred, with growth opportunities and direct client interaction.

Competenze

• JD from an accredited law school.
• 2+ years of civil litigation experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Active Texas bar license for Texas-based positions.
• Experience conducting depositions, preparing motions, and managing discovery.
• Trial experience or strong interest in courtroom skills.
• Strong legal research, writing, negotiation, and analytical abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating with a team.
• Federal court admission is a plus.

Mansioni

• Manage a diverse caseload involving personal injury defense, catastrophic injury, insurance defense, and complex civil litigation.
• Develop litigation strategies and handle cases from initial evaluation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, responses, and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
• Work closely with expert witnesses, clients, and litigation support professionals.
• Analyze evidence, evaluate case exposure, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding case developments and litigation strategy.
• Independently manage deadlines, litigation priorities, and case preparation.
• Meet an annual billable-hour target of approximately 2,000 hours.
