Job summary

The Loch Group in Austin, TX seeks an attorney with 4-8 years of civil litigation experience to join our established Texas practice. This role offers ownership of sophisticated, high-exposure matters including catastrophic personal injury, professional liability, and construction defects, with involvement from evaluation through trial.

You will handle case strategy, depositions, expert retention, pleadings, discovery, and hearings while working directly with clients and senior trial attorneys in

Qualifications

• Four to eight years of substantive civil litigation experience.
• Active Texas law license in good standing.
• Demonstrated ability to independently work up and manage cases.
• Experience with depositions, expert witnesses, motion practice, and case strategy.
• Strong writing, analytical, and client-communication skills.
• Experience in casualty defense, professional liability, or construction litigation is preferred.
• Trial or meaningful second-chair experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop case strategy and manage matters through each stage of litigation
• Conduct factual investigations and evaluate liability and damages
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and substantive case analyses
• Take and defend depositions
• Identify, retain, and work with expert witnesses
• Prepare for and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials
• Communicate directly with clients and provide practical, timely guidance
