Job summary

The Austin litigation boutique is seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join its growing team. This role offers mentorship and opportunities to take ownership of cases from discovery through trial and appeals.

You will handle complex civil matters, conduct research, draft motions, and participate in hearings, mediations, and negotiations alongside senior attorneys. Texas Bar admission required.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing.
• Experience in civil litigation or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage and assist with complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Draft and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation.
• Assist with trial strategy, case development, and courtroom preparation.
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys while progressively taking on greater responsibility.

We are representing a well-established Austin litigation boutique seeking a talented Litigation Associate to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is looking to work with a highly caliber attorney's recognized by Texas Super Lawyers and Chambers USA, and a firm that's been recognized as the Commercial Law Firm of the Year-Texas. We're looking for an attorney who wants to work on sophisticated civil litigation matters, work alongside highly experienced trial attorneys, and receive strong mentorship while taking increasing ownership of cases from discovery and motion practice through negotiations, hearings, trial, and potentially appeals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and assist with complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
• Conduct legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents
• Draft and respond to discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission
• Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Assist with trial strategy, case development, and courtroom preparation
• Work collaboratively with senior attorneys while progressively taking on greater responsibility

Qualifications:

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Texas Bar license in good standing
• Experience in one or more of the following is highly valued: Personal Injury, Construction Litigation, Commercial/Business Litigation, General Civil Litigation, Tort Litigation
• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines

Billable Hours:

1,800–2,000, flexible with compensation commensurate with hours

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual base salary for this position is between $120k-$160k in addition to an industry leading bonus program that can have you earning up to, or over, $225,000.
