Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP (FMG) is seeking an experienced litigation attorney to join our growing national practice in California. You will work closely with trial leadership on sophisticated matters involving catastrophic injury, transportation, and premises liability, representing excess carriers and national clients.

This role offers meaningful responsibility, direct client interaction, courtroom exposure, and hands-on involvement from case inception through trial.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Experience in complex, high-exposure litigation is preferred.
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex civil litigation from inception to resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy with senior trial attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, motions, and discovery.
• Take and defend depositions; prepare witnesses for depositions and trials.
• Collaborate across offices and deliver timely case assessments to clients.
