Job summary

Freeman Mathis & Gary, LLP, a national trial-litigation firm, seeks an experienced litigation attorney in California to handle sophisticated, high-exposure matters. You will work with FMG’s leadership on major cases involving catastrophic injury, transportation, and premises liability, while engaging directly with clients and trial teams.

You will contribute to case strategy from inception through trial, emphasizing strategic handling over volume and delivering exceptional client service

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of California.
• Experience in complex, high-exposure litigation such as catastrophic injury, transportation, premises liability, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex civil litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Develop and execute litigation strategy with experienced trial attorneys.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, briefs, motions, discovery, and other documents.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts.
• Prepare witnesses for depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff across offices and practice areas.
